Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the EACE website, the Transparency Notice Generator, and the EACE mobile application ("Services").

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. About the Service

EACE provides software tools designed to support compliance with the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act), including generation of AI Transparency Notices and related compliance documentation.

Licensing, ownership, redistribution rights, commercial usage, and premium features are governed separately by the applicable Licensing Guide, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

3. No Legal Advice

The Services generate document templates and compliance assistance materials. They are provided solely for informational and compliance-support purposes and do not constitute legal advice, legal representation, or regulatory approval.

Users remain solely responsible for reviewing generated documents and obtaining professional legal advice where appropriate.

4. Local Processing

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, document generation is performed locally on the user's device. EACE does not access the content entered into the generator.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• misuse the Services;
• attempt to reverse engineer the proprietary EACE Engine except where mandatory law permits;
• redistribute proprietary components beyond your licence rights;
• remove copyright or licence notices.

6. Intellectual Property

The EACE Engine, compliance methodology, software architecture, document families, trademarks, branding, and related intellectual property remain the exclusive property of digitaldesignlab4u unless otherwise stated.

Generated documents are licensed according to the applicable Licensing Guide.

7. Disclaimer

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." While reasonable efforts are made to maintain accuracy and legal relevance, digitaldesignlab4u does not warrant that generated documents are complete, legally sufficient, or suitable for every regulatory scenario.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, digitaldesignlab4u shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the Services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are materially breached or where necessary to protect the integrity or security of the Services.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services following publication of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia and applicable European Union law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Croatia unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
